The cloud and apps
The cloud is simply computers somewhere else on the internet that store your data and pass on messages. It lets you check on your gadget from anywhere in the world.
Here is what happens when your smart plant pot is connected:
- The sensor checks the soil every few minutes.
- The ESP32 sends the reading over WiFi to the cloud.
- The cloud saves it, like writing in a diary.
- Your phone app reads the diary and draws a graph.
- You tap Water now in the app, and the message travels back to the pump.
