About this project

SolarTrack is a light-following servo system that uses two LDR (photoresistor) sensors to detect the direction of maximum light intensity and rotates an SG90 servo motor to point toward the brighter side. The Arduino continuously compares left and right LDR readings; when one side is brighter by more than a configurable dead-band threshold, the servo sweeps toward that side. A 16×2 I2C LCD displays live LDR values and servo angle in real time, and two LEDs indicate which side has dominant light. This project introduces differential sensing, analog comparison logic, servo PWM control, and closed-loop positioning — fundamental principles behind commercial solar panel trackers and antenna aiming systems.
