AmpForge — ACS712 DC Load Power Analyzer
About this project
AmpForge is an ESP32-based DC load power analyzer that measures four electrical quantities simultaneously: load current (via ACS712-5A Hall-effect sensor), supply voltage (via a precision resistor divider), instantaneous power (P = V × I), and accumulated energy (E = ∫P dt in Wh). All four metrics are displayed live on a 20×4 I2C LCD and streamed to a self-hosted web dashboard with a 1-second auto-refresh. An automatic zero-current offset calibration routine runs at startup, eliminating module-to-module offset variation without manual trimming. A red LED fires an over-current alert above 4A. The web page includes a one-click Energy Reset button. Students learn Hall-effect current sensing, ADC-based voltage measurement, energy integration, and ESP32 web serving — core Electrical Engineering power measurement skills in a single circuit.
