About this project
Build a digital thermometer that reads real temperature and humidity from the air, displays values on a beautiful OLED screen, and shows visual status indicators (safe/warning/hot). Use an ESP32 (upgraded from Arduino) with DHT22 sensor — the industrial-grade sibling of DHT11. This intermediate project teaches I2C communication protocol, analog-to-digital conversion, sensor calibration, and data filtering. Create a real-world monitoring device that tracks environmental conditions. No WiFi needed — works completely standalone. Build time: 2-3 hours. Perfect next step after LED blinking!
