About this project

Build a smart proximity-based theft deterrent that guards your laptop, bag, or project model using an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor. When armed with a single button press, the system continuously monitors a 30 cm danger zone — any intrusion fires a loud buzzer alarm, flashes a red LED, and displays a live alert on a 16x2 LCD. Press the button again to disarm instantly. The WOW moment: leave your bag at the college canteen table, walk away, and anyone who reaches for it will trigger a blaring alarm that turns every head in the room. Build time: 2–3 hours. Works completely offline — no WiFi, no app, no cloud needed.
