VibeCast NeoPixel Mood Engine
About this project
Build a programmable RGB light engine using 8 WS2812B NeoPixel LEDs that cycles through 8 stunning colour themes — Rainbow, Fire, Ocean, Matrix Rain, Sunset, Arctic Pulse, Galaxy, and Party Flash. Button A steps through all 8 themes; Button B toggles between animated and static mode; the potentiometer controls animation speed in animated mode and brightness in static mode; the LCD shows the current theme name and mode. The WOW moment: dim the lights at your college exhibition, hit Party Flash mode, and every single student in the room stops and stares — 8 tiny LEDs producing a full discotheque effect from a breadboard. At night the light painting effect looks genuinely professional. Build time: 2.5 hours. The least number of wires of any project in this series — but the most visual impact.
