SprinklerGuard — Automatic Fire Sprinkler Valve Controller
About this project
SprinklerGuard is an automatic fire sprinkler valve controller built on Arduino Uno that simulates a fire suppression system by monitoring carbon monoxide (CO) levels using an MQ-7 gas sensor and controlling a 12 V solenoid valve to release water when dangerous CO concentration is detected. The system displays live CO levels (0–1000 ppm virtual scale), valve state, and alarm status on a 16×2 I2C LCD. Three status LEDs (green/yellow/red) indicate SAFE, WARNING, and DANGER zones, while an active buzzer sounds a pulsing alarm when the sprinkler valve opens. A manual RESET button allows operators to close the valve after the hazard clears, and an adjustable CO threshold (200–800 ppm) can be set via UP/DOWN buttons. This project demonstrates the principles of automatic fire suppression systems, gas detection thresholds, and solenoid valve control used in commercial fire sprinkler installations.
