BeaconTrack — GPS Firefighter Location Tracker

About this project

Build a real-time GPS tracking system for firefighters during emergency operations using ESP32 and NEO-6M GPS modules. The system broadcasts individual firefighter locations to a central web dashboard, displays positions on interactive map, tracks movement history with breadcrumb trails, and implements safety zone geofencing with automatic alerts when personnel enter hazardous areas. Features include NFPA 1561 compliant incident command support, automatic distress signal detection (no movement timeout), and SD card mission logging for post-incident analysis.
